Ok so Im reading how Chomsky is being compared to communists by someone who is calling for the ousting of liberals from the country. In a democracy the voice of the majority is what counts and the majority in both parties reject bush and his policies. politicians are put there just to give you the ilusion that you have freedom of choice. Chomsky gives the analogy of the toothpaste and the politicians. it's not so much the "information" on the toothpaste what we should be looking for nowadays, but rather the ALTERNATIVES for "toothpaste". this in itself is an ilusion of freedom. they give you what they want, not what you asked for. it's time we find an alternative for toothpaste. voting isn't going to change anything.
