Bad Bad idea, the most least rock metal idea! What was Perry Farrel thinking?! This is so lame. What is the rock world coming to?! Kids and underground hard rock does not mix!!

Open your mind a little. It is a great idea. It get kids interested in music rather then video games. Perry comes from a generation where music was good before the industry went into the crapper. He sees it as an investment into the future of music.

It's not underground rock anymore. In case you've been living under a rock, Lolla has been living well as a re branded festival in Chicago. You have not even experienced it and you're already ragging on it. Speaking of "bad idea," it has been going already for three years and has been hugely attended and performers like Patti Smith, Ben Harper, Digable Planets, and Perry himself have played the stage. Are those artists stupid or having bad ideas too?

It's not underground rock anymore. In caseI suppose you think you're the authority, but you actually come off like a lazy ass slacker who probably thinks you know something...guess what? You don't.

Wonderful video and proof that Farrell is a musical icon!

Ha Ha Ha whatever. I was just voicing my opinion on it. Your so damn serious. And by the way you can't argue with this but most of today's artist have to sell out or else they won't make it. And that whole MP3 shit thats killing the music industry. I personally think music is dying! True music that is. Including the underground scene, well actually the underground scene is barely a scene today. Today's time is sad... :(

This stuff just comes and goes in cycles. It'll be okay =) Good music is always lit to pop. Plenty of hot "underground" bands transitioning to bigger stages now. TV on the Radio, Explosions in the Sky, Animal Collective, man I could go on and on and on. Just go look at Lolla's lineup for this year. I'm not very into "scenes", just good music, so I haven't really been keeping track of any "scenes".

Perry Farrel - legend. Jane's Addiction - legend.
I have my doubts, but at the end of a day think that it's all riht what he's doing now i.e. promoting rock. It's not over-the-top-Bono-kinda-save-the-world-but-look-at-me-first-thing. It's fun and good for the people around I guess. This is what established and not really active rock stars could do. Ok, I'm troubled by the clash of old crazy Farrel (not really for kids) but still thumbs up.

No doubt, especially after all the years of drinking and drugging? He looks healthy. He's staying in shape, cutting back on the booze I bet. Good for him. These kids are gonna blow our minds one day.
Whats with ... ( 2 months ago by bparrino)
Whats with everybody? Everyone is so lame for "not knowing their underground" one day, and then when the underground enlightens the masses the next day, you bitch. Typical punk escapism. Lighten up. Noone tries to make great music so that the least amount of people possible hear it.Thats such a front. Music is what YOU make it, not what everyone else makes it.Underground is always cooler, true, but at some point you wish everyone knew about it, so u cry "its underrated" or "sell-out".Hypocrisy.
