It's an animated short about a Nazi super-robot. Do you complain if your chemistry textbook lacks character development? Superfluous stuff like this would have seriously cut into the time available for a start. The quality of the voice acting is also virtually irrelevent. The short was clearly written to showcase a cool concept and a small subset of the animator's skills, and I think it achieved both goals admirably.

nice video I really love the part when the P-51D Mustangs started to fight th giant robot and the music really fits with that part
