In the world of rock singers, few have the gritty, edgy range of Robert Plant. His powerful alto and distinctive falsetto are showcased in classics throughout his career with Led Zeppelin. Over his 25 year solo career, Plant has charted many hits like Sea of Love and Big Log. Today he actively tours, most recently with his band The Strange Sensation. His legacy certainly continues to influence newer generations of rockers. Plant's says the magic and true spirit of rock 'n' roll is in live performance.

The song at the end is "Shine It All Around" from the album "The Mighty Rearranger" by Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation" from 2005. I've been enjoying his music from the time Led Zeppelin appeared until today. Now, he's done an album of duets with Alison Krauss called "Raising Sand" and taken another new direction-but still great quality music. My tastes have grown and expanded with his long career (but I still love cranking Zeppelin way way up and letting it move me!)

Plant used to be a rock singer (i.e. just a rock singer, i.e. "a rock star"), but for him that was just the starting point--he's become something more--a true musical
genius--he's a guy who just never stops looking & he's the one, now in a period which does not have a whole lot to offer, making the great music of our time.

Plant re-invented himself all over again. The Raising Sand tour is simply amazing. We thought Mighty Rearanger was already the best. I guess he tries to make the most out of everything he does, and it comes out the BEST!
