- ati radeon 9000 ( XD)
- 80gb 7200rpm (XD XD)
- 512mb ram ( die laughing)
- dvd and cdrom player/burner
- windows xp ( THA best!)
- stereo sound(not even surround sound :/

well, ive just bought the inno3d 9600GSO(192bit, 384mb gddr3) as i could not afford 8800gt or 9600gt. It runs on 550mhz core and 1.6ghz memory. i've overclocked it to 600mhz core and 1.8ghz memory using the nvidia control pannel. i 've set my gpu fan at 60%.
my gpu temp while playing crysis reaches at about 58 degree celcius.. now iz dat normal??
and i only overclock when i play games otherwise its default. im just worried bout da temp....
any advice would be highly appreciated...

First , you need to locate the 16x PCI-e Slot slot at your motherboard.
Second , take out the graphic card stick on it if you have.
Thrid , slot in your graphic card! SIMPLE!

You put it in the Graphics Card slot (AGP, PCI Express x16 ex.) on the Motherboard.
No, you just replace it with a new one, or put a crad in the slot. (Some motherboards don't have a GPU slot!) Easy to do.

The 8600GTS is an overclocked version of 8600GT so you will expect this temp due to single slot solution.
Unlike the dual slot solution , they will have temp below 75.
-did you clean the dust on the card?
-did you have a chassis with good air flow?

You can also download a program off the EVGA web-site. It's called "Precision". This program will allow you to fine tune your graphics card. You can even increase the speed of your fan on your graphics card. Just make sure that you have an account on EVGA before you attempt to download this program. Other-wise,it won't work. (Downloading the program)
