This is a video discussing the beginning of the Little River Railroad and Lumber Company Museum in Townsend, Tennessee. Harry Kidwell was one of the founding members and he recounts the discovery, and movement of a locomotive engine and caboose from North Carolina back to it's home in Townsend, Te

Another good one Dan....and from my neck of the woods. Bill Hooks has a great book on the history of the Little River Lumber Co. and railroad called "Whistle over the Mountain......". Bill is a wealth of info and will talk your ear off. Thought you might be interested in the book and maybe interviewing him when you are down this way again.
