Edison Blue Amberol 3220 [Take 2, Mould 20]. "Liberty Bell March" (John Philip Sousa) New York Military Band. Year of first release: 1917. Played on my Amberola 50.
From The EDISON BLUE AMBEROL RECORDS July 1917 circular "Liberty Bell March, Sousa New York Military Band No. 3220 One of Sousa's first nation-wide successes. If you are of the younger generation, you may not be familiar with it. In that event just 'Ask Dad, he knows.'" This piece was brought t
o a new audience in the 1970's due to its use as the theme for Monty Python's Flying Circus.

I've only heard the Liberty Bell March played like this once, and it's now! I'm quite literally stunned at the quality of the record. It must have stood the test of time pretty well!

Kashito91, I don't know. I have the BA and DD of this recording-both of which I just stumbled upon so to speak. I've never heard mention of this as being particularly rare. It's a great recording-enjoy it! Regards, J.

Kashito91, A DD is an Edison Diamond Disc. IIRC all later Blue Amberols were dubbed from DDs. I'm not sure, but I believe this one is a dub. Regards, J.
