Final fight in Legend of Legaia on Playstation, against Cort. The video is pretty long, but there were a lot of long attacks used especially by Cort, and I wanted to display a few of the cool attacks at the same time. Don't mind the slowdown when Cort casts Doomsday.

As far as I remember, Legend of Legaia was one of the only games that had really gruesome organic designs... I used to think it was some kind of horror/RPG hybrid, it scared the shit out of me when I was younger :p

Funny thing is, I wouldn't even disagree. It seems more gamers today want companies to remake old games rather than make new ones, I mean how many people want a remake of FF7? Even though I'm not a fanboy, I would probably sell my soul to own a copy of that. Says something about the quality of games coming out nowadays. I admit that modern graphical technology is amazing and artistic direction is evolving, but people need to pay attention to what matters: STORYLINE and GAMEPLAY.

Graphics are extremely important.
And I'm talkin aboot (not on how many pixels) but to make an illusion of reality (kinda like in a sci-fi or historical tv-show). To make it seem like somebody is living there and that the environment breathes and the NPC's visually emote. Since games are rarely text-based, thats neccesary! Could be 3d, 2d.. who the fuck cares. But nobody wants a world like in Legaia 2, a total lack of soul.

That's true. But I think that's more to do with artistic direction and aesthetics than technological prowess. Well, I don't know, take Wild ARMs for example, it's one of my all time favourite RPGs. I didn't feel I was there, exactly, and the 3D battles were pretty horrible, but the game was awesome, and the 2D was pretty well done. It's kind of hard to explain what I mean, but my favourite RPG to come out in recent times is Suikoden V, I think. That game has it all, very powerful execution.

LMAO, I NOE EH. this game freaked me out so much when i was small. Especially drakes castle. I dont remember much of the game, cuz it was long ago, and it broke :(, but i plan to buy another copy again, cuz no matter what the graphics are, this game pwned.

your so rite, a game can have the best graphic in the world, but if its story sucks, id hate it. Im not a fan of arcade games, thats why i go for story, and the RPG shines in that department. They should defenitly make a remake for this game, for ps2 or ps3, which ever, cuz both have kick ass graphics, and plus, i dont got a ps3 xD

i loved this game. too bad i was too young to have the persistance to keep playing even after i lost countless times to a hard boss. from what i remember it was like a praying mantis thing that was eating something and we surprised it i think and uh it was foggy.

Ya the first place I ever got stuck on for a long time (other than Caruban and Zeto because of my scratched game disk) was Berserker. After that it was Xain, then the Dellias trio.

This game was awesome, actually a challenging RPG. I was surprised how it was all on one disc... but the funny part is it came in a multi disc game case for some reason... xD
