I like Blood better than No Country myself. I just think No Country is the favorite and that's fine cause its a hell of a movie, but it sucks for Blood.

I'm not, i'm openly rooting for There Will Be Blood to win Best Actor, Director and Best Picture along with a few others. I just think the favorite among hollywood and voters is No Country for Old Men.

Two great guys. Love them both! Paul T Anderson is the best!
I dont care what ...( 5 months ago by videoguyy)
I dont care what the oscars or any other pretentious award shows think. Both films were great, but I think TWBB had more character to it, and I found it more interesting. Im also a HUUUUGE PT fan. Coens are good, Lebowski and Fargo are classics. But for me personally I love PT and especially this film. Black Flag is good too.

I like his comment around 8:40. That's true no matter what industry you're trying to get into. It's hard to start anything with confidence, especially when more experienced folks question you. Nice to hear his perspective on it. Sometimes it's simply a difference of opinion. :)

Look, it doesn't take a whole lot of thinking to turn a movie or a book into a political allegory these days. It's become the cheap interpretation (quite frankly, too cheap in the case of TWBB).
And as subjective as art is, I still think it's kind of a slap in PTA's face to pull that shit out of the movie when he's explicitly said there's no ulteriority to it.
Rocker86 had it right, it's a study of an individual. I walked out of the theatre thinking about myself, not the government.

I agree, it's so obnoxious that with every statement someone makes it's led to either malevolent capitalists or the decline of the environment.

Like Wayne Gretzky. Penderetzki. Because it's Polish, in the Polish language "ck" is pronounced "tzk" or "tsk."
