Perhaps....Snape doesn't try to look to hard at Harry in the eyes. Could you imagine if Harry was a girl and the spitting image of Lily....eyes and all....How would have Professor Snape handled that? I wish someone would make a fanfiction of that....it would be most interesting. Suffice to say...with that I think things would of been quite different. I personally remind people of my mom...because I resemble her strongly and we shared many traits..(art, extensive reading, etc)

The reason Snape is so mean to Harry is not only the fact that he looks like his father. He was in love with Lily, remember? Knowing that Harry is the product of the woman he loved and the man he hated eats him alive. In a way, I suppose Snape feels that Harry should have been his.

I love the fact that at 7:50 Snape shields Harry, Ron, and Hermione from werewolf-Lupin. It's sorta sweet, and makes me love Snape even more.
