I joined that site before this for the same reason everyone else did.we thought it was him! The site makes it looks like Obama himself is monitoring the page. That's not right, and Obama's people has a right to take action..especially if misinformation is printed. Joe Anthony should not have had his site appear to look like it was personally run by Barack Obama for so freakin long (with one small line thrown in to say its not). If you research this you will find that he did not demand money. The Obama campaing asked him if they could buy it. They offered him some small sum and he contered with a higher number. They Balked at that, wich frankly seems unfair considering the ammount of time he put into it and the over 100k supporters he rallied (This sort of support is extremely valuable). The campain then stopped communicating with the site owner and convinced myspace to GIVE it to them wich they did. Lost My Vote!

The Situation Room has been becoming as bad as Fox News. It is quickly losing all its credibility due to the sensationalism and fear mongering it spins.
This guy created an Obama Myspace page. Which clearly goes against the rules of the site. As he is not Obama. Many people joined his friend list thinking he was Obama. That is both dangerous for Obama and his campaign. I was actually on that friendlist and thought it was run by the campaign team- not a maverick. He deserved to get shut down.

Obviously most of the friends knew this was an unofficial website, as the friends went from 160,000 under Joe Anthony, to 12,000 in May when the Obama campaign took over and made it official.This is an excellent piece of media coverage by the Situation Room.If I was Hillary, I would use this issue to gain a ton of votes during the next debate.
