Trafalgar Square freeze 16th Feb 2008. I ran around with my little camera trying to capture as many frozen people as possible. And then they formed a conga line.

beautiful i love how everyone just slows down and stops for a moment. if we could all just be present in each moment everyday and just be still to appreciate the beauty and majesty around us and more importantly within us what miracles it would manifest. what inspired this Freeze is this a common tradition in London?

good luck in visiting London. It just might be ok if your visit is short. Generally speaking these people are the most pretentious and xenophobic people i have ever come across.

I beg to differ. I was in London this summer and was slightly apprehensive of the attitude I would get, but they Londoners were much more friendly than the people I am used to in California, US.

I hate to know what bad experiance You've had with Londoners, I just find it sad that you have choosen to say that about the whole of London - despite people being different individually and all that jazz...

I have lived here for 6 years and am still living here in London. I am not saying that all Londoners are like this but i don't find them to be very friendly. Secondly, my experience with Londoners suggests the general attitude that if you are not British you are crap (this attitude displayed by the British extends itself to Irish, Scottish and welsh people as well)

I can understand what you're saying... It's just where I'm from it is true that London isn't very friendly (yay character building :P) but where I'm from, I live in a mixed community where there is practically everyone from different parts of the world living near by. My neighbors are Turkish and South African and I get along fine with them.
I was born in London and just felt a bit offened at your comment, BUT I see what you mean. London isn't a nice place, but not everyone is a total twat :)
