poetry aside, Dangerfield was most well known for introducing young comedians into the business and taking them under his wing and giving them opportunities to grow and flourish. He was one of the first huge comedians to welcome newcomers with open arms instead of shunning them.

I totally remember this when it came on, I think it was 1983-84? Had it taped for years, watched it over and over and eventually got ruined, thought I'd never see it again. Thanks for the little trip down memory lane. Good grief- they all look so young. RIP Sam Kinison
