Here's where the samples on some of my favourite Daft Punk tracks came from. It's all legit, paid in full, above board. Still strange to hear, though.
The samples were spotted by http://www.ishkur.com/samples/ and the music was collected by http://palmsout.blogspot.com/2007/02/sample-wednesday-27-daft-punk.html
I just did the video editing.

MAJOR POINTS FOR THAT
it dont matter!, dj's sample, it came out good, n people are still gon listen to it while they're poppin ex at a rave!!!
LOL
I bought Discovery back in 2001, but its good to know some people liked them before that shitty collab.
Anyway, this sampling business, I've said elsewhere, some people don't know the difference between sampling and plageurism (sp?). I think fair use of samples would be a single drum loop or short vocal, but when its just the original song, with very little differences that becomes plageurism to me.
Plus I think theres some law in music, where if the artist has been dead for 30 or so years, their songs are free to sample.
That could have a hand in it too, oh well, it doesn't matter, Daft Punk took them and made them better, even if half of their discography isn't their own. If you're gonna rag on someone for plageurism though, do it to Timbaland, that robbing bastard. :)
Not saying it's right, just saying that's probly why it is like it is.
