Gordon went off on this guy because he makes crap food, can't take criticism and doesn't care that the restaurant he works at is going bankrupt. If I was a chef and had the chance to get advice from someone as successful as Gordon, I'd shut my fucking face and listen instead of whining that he was being mean.
Anyone who thinks he is an asshole has never worked at a higher-end restuarant. I once worked for a chef who was more abusive than him--AND cooked lousy food.
