I watched it with my girlfriend last week in bed. just me and her, it was our 4 month anniversary.
I don't usually cry but this movie broke me, I was a mess.
We're going to be 6 hours apart at different colleges in about 2 months.. and the whole time I watched it I just saw her and I going through the same exact thing.
She means SO much to me, she is my first true LOVE, and she might be the 'one' I just really hope all goes well next year, I dont know how I am going to handle it. I love her.

not at all... i am very much in love and have always considered myself a romantic. but the notebook is cliche, tacky romance... it showcases the cheapest and sappiest aspects of love. true romance is a movie like casablanca or atonement. they capture the true essence of romance... not the cheesy hallmark aspects of it.
