I said this first on Kingheathens video comments, and I'm repeating myself here, but I think if we had a Bill Nye the science guy type teach evolution in a fun style, then people would actually listen and learn.

Oh, yeah, making science fun is one of the things that works. Schools are hesitant to do it because they'd cover less material. HOWEVER, it should be done, anyway, because they'd have MUCH higher retention. What good does covering material do if you forget it? That's what's happening, now, in science education.

*snickers* That might be a BIT of overkill, IMO. They should, however, definitely learn to teach things better. If we had better elementary science education, scientists could talk to people more clearly and get across their points better.

I think that would be guaranteed to work, because I don't know anyone who either hasn't heard of Bill Nye or didn't like his show. He really DID make science fun.
