It ´s not too fast... It´s written like that from the composer... The Moldau passes by with the speed as the orchestra is playing. Everything alright and wonderful...

Wow wretched? heh. I'd agree it was a little rough and did not flow...oh well perhaps they were nervous? Overall this is a great great recording. And the flutes did fine the rest of the piece. =)

This is a sypmhonic poem, not a song. And it is really not too fast at all. Czech people understand this music the best. I live near Vltava, I have seen sources of the river in the mountains and this composition describes the river in an unbelievable way.

I agree as well, AbsoluteZ3R0-- Peasant's Wedding accounts for most of the piece's emotional concreteness... you can simply imagine a delightful wedding in a small village. I enjoy how quick and lively this version is!

One of my dreams is to see the sources of Vlatava mostly because of this piece, This symphonic poem is one of THE BEST compositions relating to a particular location, in my humble opinion. I agree with you. Hopefully, one day, I may travel to the Czech Republic and do some backpacking.
