I still dont get all these cunt-brains in here saying Led Zep was better than Roth VH....I've seen a lot of classic Zep videos and they were good but couldnt touch the power and fury displayed in these Oakland '81 VH clips....Roth & Eddie could bounce around the stage all night like Tasmanian Devils and still play like virtuosos....Plant & Page simply couldnt do that! All you dumb shits need to think about that before you disrespect the mighty Halen.....I'm getting fed up with it.

i totally agree. VH was and still is better than Led Zeppelin. If you disagree, go listen to a whole Zeppelin record, and then listen to a VH record. Every song by VH was great, even the ones they covered.

I agree with hunkola and heres why- Zep live is down right boring. Sorry...great band, but Roth live, and in his prime, i dont think anything comes close- whats close...? Jagger in the mid 70's, maybe? But all in all how can VH not take the title. maybe acdc with bon but thats it. VH = mighty, mayhem, f'n loud and raw.

I'm not going to agree or disagree with any of the previous comments about VH vs. ZEP. Frankly, I think they are both great bands in their own right, each with thier own style of music. I am a HUGE fan of both, but I will admit that VH brings a different kind of energy to thier music that makes them stand out more. Having said that, I will still say I am a diehard fan of both. I'm not sure it's fair to compare the 2 bands.

Maybe...but Roth ´s era was clearly more productive: 1977-1984: 6 albums...
Hagar: 1985-1996: 4 albums plus 1 live release.

Like Ed said jimmy page was a fine studio guitarist, but when it came to playing live he resembled a 2 year old with a broken hand
