I've never seen an E played like that. I've always played..and seen it it played.. with the 2nd & 3rd fingers opposite of the way you have them. That way it's easier to drop the whole chord formation down to an Am.

iv been playing guitar for a while and yes at the beginning you feel even that your fingers are no long enough to reach the proper position but eventually you feel your fingers setting loose and youll get used to it keep on practising its really worthy

Wow. I couldn't do any chords so I desided to just practice A and E cause they make a good sound together. Now I'm pro at both. Like seriously. Wow. B,C,D,F and G not so much. But all you have to do is practice for a little bit =)
