I do not see why people are making Asians sound like the problem! Business is business, do not blame people for taking advantage of good opportunity. If the African American community is so adamant about purchasing from Black owned organizations only, then that is their prerogative. But if you ask me, doing so is just a form of self segregation. No one complains when an Asian person opens a laundry or a restaurant, but let them get in on something that is "not Asian" and all hell breaks loose.

I totally agree that african americans need to support african american businesses. I know a few people who went natural over the years. I am shocked to find out about the underhanded practices aimed to keep Blacks out of the BLACK beauty biz. It's fine that Koreans work hard and run with opportunity, but what I see here is UNETHICAL. Why do Blacks give money to those who don't respect us? I opted out 15 years ago by going natural and patronizing smaller Black/Mutiethnic-owned natural hair care lines. It's irritating to see people comment on this and NOT see the point. It's about how the community has let something of our own, something that belongs to us slip into somebody elses hands. And it's not like this is the first time. The community needs to step up. Regardless of how many times it's said, it's not gonna happen unless it's a joint effort and some sort of action takes place. You don't have to completely stop shopping at Korean-owned businesses, but support your own more.
