Hmmm... im not even close to be good at stretching but i do have a common hmmm knowledge if thats what its called... aint you suposed to stretch every muscle for about 20-40 seconds ? shes stretching like 5-10 secs only...

Your common knowledge is wrong. Around a minimum of seven seconds to hold the deepest part of the stretch before releasing is acceptable and will cause adaptation of the muscle group -- that is, it will help induce a "longer" resting state of the muscle. You need to repeat the stretches and put together a real session with a conscientious effort to improve, of course, as a single seven-second hamstring stretch once a week ain't gonna help you much. You can hold you stretches longer if you like.

Looking over some of the comments I see online, it never fails to amaze me how rigid and set in their ways people are when it comes to "proper technique" for exercising -- particularly stretching. There are many, many techniques and methods of execution that are can help you increase performance, strength, development, and flexibility. And, of course, a technique that may be easy and common for one person might not be within another person's current abilities. Listen to your body and pay attn.

Maybe because these are simply stretches for the purpose of warming up? not the hard-core physical therepy type which are reccomended from health care professionals.

Strecthing is supposed to be SLOW, and you are SUPPOSED to breathe WELL during...If you are teaching someone stretching, and fails to stress this, you are irresponsible and simply a waste of time and space.

if you want a good warmup, do something else instead of stretching...it does damage, instead of helping. it only hurts, the result you get is muscle ache and nothing else. you dont warm up your muscles, because the only thing you do is "lengthen your muscle" and thats not even possible. the only good way for a good warumup and to surpass limited movement of your muscles is to perform practices that are based on power and tension.

A but tendons -can- be stretched as well as the connecting tissues. I do agree that stretching can and does do damage to the tissues, but with a little bit of time, those damages heal with new elasticity, while allowing an increased range of motion.
