I'm a professor & former Olympic trainer w/35 yrs in sports, health & fitness. Unfortunately, many drs don't warn patients of drug interactions when combining synthetics w/natural substances —even coffee. Synergistic stacking is used by athletes to magnify potency of nutrients by combining compounds. The same effect can occur w/drugs; hence the potential of over-dosing "drug stacked with natural substance". Often an innocent accident and a little-known science.

I am currently taking Cylaris help manage my weight. It is touted as the world's strongest weight-loss formula (out of perhaps the many thousands of others which also proclaim this for themselves) and surprisingly does not contain Hoodia. I recommend it to anybody who wants to manage their weight where diet and exercise simply aren't enough.

I'm not against supplements but have to ask, are you a doctor? How can you recommend, as you say, the "world's strongest weight-loss formula" to people you never met or examined? The product you're talking about contains Green Tea, this is an accelerating agent and can have complications in the presence of drugs. I'd be interested to learn how much you weigh and why [the cause] you became so heavy in the first place.

what you said makes good sense. i am taking pepcid and i take vitamins. i dont drink anyting unless its decaf cause it made me dizzy. so do i have to stop drinking grapefruit juice too? my pepcid is prescription

I cannot give medical advice but will say that "decaf" still has caffiene. And since grapefruit juice is a powerful accelating agent it WILL boost your "decaf" into "full caf". It's not the grapefruit that's bad--I love them, and they are loaded with nutrition, but [again] it's tgh synergistic combo that makes it something to be concerned about.

yeah I understand. I love grapefruit too. i only drink herbal tea but sometimes i like decaf coffee. so pepcid with grapefruit is no good then

To be honest, I'm not exactly familiar with pepcid but my intuition tells me you're a-okay. If you're really concerned then ask your doctor, hopefully he or she will understand this science. Good luck and stay healthy!

You obviously have some issues with digestion and assimilation. These can be created from abuse over the years of poor food consumption; i.e., wrong foods and/or excessive amounts, or simply ingestion of foods or compounds that distress the digestive system, including the stomach. Take special care of yourself, you deserve to feel your best. And in so doing always ask yourself "What's the best I can do for myself", this includes the best foods that make you healthy.

What you said makes alot of sense. I know for a fact that grapefruit juice does as an effect on alot of different medications. I also know that coffee interferes the use of tranquilizers for anxiety.

As stated, sports nutritionists have known about this for years. Those who study sports [or even fitness] nutritional science will recognize that many of the performance boosting agents and fat-loss compounds "stack" various agent/s together which, in and of themselves, have a certain degree of potency, however when "stacked" with another compound[s] they are much more powerful. Although this is intended to be useful, unfortunately, there are some cases that become unhealthy and even deadly.

See, we need to know how much Methadone was in her liver...not her blood. Take Marilyn Monroe...She had a normal blood level of Nembutal, but the level in her liver was lethal. How could that be? Grapefruit Juice! It messes up the way your LIVER metabolizes that (and MANY medications!) I think that's what happened to Anna.

ANS had many problems. Learning of her drug dependency along w/her claims of weightloss with a "diet pill" prompted me to record this seminar. Drugs are harmful by themselves but nobody knows how/when they react with other substances, even healthy substances. This science will continue to be investigated. Just be aware that there are consequences.
