rap doesn't need kanye. rap needs mos def, talib kweli, krs one, common, nas, even jay-z. but rap certainly does not "need" kanye. he's a good producer and rapper and makes good music, but he is certainly not a necessity to the hip hop industry. and as far as him being able to "sing the songs like they sound on tv"...for one: he doesn't sing, and two: this version of him live really sounds like crap compared to the studio version.

i mean, like compared to all the hundreds of rappers out there, him and the ones you listed to, are all very great artist, love them all. but they actually keep it real as in like, they ain't like 50 cent, fat joe, soulja, d4l and everyone that talks about nothing but drugs, money, hoes and cars..kanye doesnt and the ones you listed dont either..
and the part about him performing live, he sounds better than alot of other raps that perform live.
