Excellent version! One of my favourite tunes by Emmanuel although I believe this is his own cover of an old blues tune so more an arrangement.
Clapton and Emmanuel are both fantastic however Emmanuel is more adept in a variety of styles while Clapton is somewhat more stuck to the blues idiom in both electric and acoustic environments. Tommy plays an incredible amount of Western styles to a top notch level.

There is no comparison between Clapton and Tommy. I agree with katanamanatee that Clapton has a narrower band of styles, but Tommy is definitely at a much higher level. One day in the next lifetime Clapton might be able to play to this technical level but not from what I have seen. And the fact that Clapton one of the all time greats puts Tommy's skill in perspective.

Exactly. Nobody will put in doubt that Clapton has been one of most appreciated and talented guitarists, his compositions are unique...
But Tommy is a completely other planet if we talk about technique and strumental compositions. It's another way to view the guitar and to express the guitar... to EVOLVE the guitar experience.

The difference between Tommy and Clapton is that whilst Tommy could play Clapton out of the water on a guitar technically speaking, Clapton is a three time rocknroll hall of famer, multi grammy winning legend. Tommy's fame is largely because of youtube.
