Sometimes I am ashamed of some of you youngsters. This man was a great pianist. But there are many great pianists. They are all fantastic. I stand in awe of them all because they were not only very talented but labored to perfect that talent. But most of all I am blown away always by the composer. What a gift to mankind Chopin is. He brought the piano to heights that were never reached before and have never been surpassed since.

Though I have not heard the music of many classical composers, so far Chopin is my absolute favorite.

I don't really like the way Horowitz plays the Polonaise, though he was a great pianist.
To me, Rafal Blaseck's (sorry if I mispelled his name) version is the best I've ever heard.

Horowitz is using a "corked bat." He couldn't play at this level without cheating. Richard Kastle posted a blog on his myspace page that explains the cheating methods. Kastle studied with Horowitz's student and knows all his scams. If you want to learn, read the blog. If you want to remain in a media brainwashed state of confusion, don't read it. Stay stupid!

I tell the truth ...( 1 hour ago by mikecaffey)
I tell the truth about virtuosos. I presented 30 examples of irrefutable evidence showing all the top pianists faking the descending octaves at the end of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #2. Noone can prove me wrong. Only one human plays Liszt's hardest notes. Saying that these pathetic pianists can play the notes is trolling and spreading propaganda, because they've proven by their failed parformances and recordings that they can't!
