A majority of men, perhaps, although most will probably believe they are using adequate "protection".

it's a good point. if you think about it, condoms seem to be having a positive effect on human evolution. people are much more choosy about who they actual procreate with. in the past hundred years, since the advent of proper condoms, women have become much better looking and athletic records continue to be shattered. people are still pretty fucking stupid though.....

I wonder why aren't Muslim moral values changing according to moral zeitgeist. Is it because Muslims are very narrowminded?
to answer that, ... ( 1 month ago by hooah68)
to answer that, maybe you should consider why our moral standards in the west are changing to such a degree. perhaps its our society's openness to new ideas and the development of things like science, technology, etc. from just a brief consideration, it seems that our rapid changes of moral standards in the west are probably the exception rather than the rule relative with the rest of the world.
I would argue that ... ( 1 month ago by DukeAlba)
I would argue that the West is still the rule rather than the exception. Anyone that has taken a sociology course in college understands that the devolpment of cities and the industrial revolution and scientific advance of the west had a profound effect on social mores and customs.
In much of the developing world technology has been introduced so quickly that social mores and customs have yet to catch up and modernize. I imagine that as time goes on that it will be inevitable...

so you agree that a free society combined with rapid developments in science in tech are the likely cause of rapidly changing moral standards? when i use the term "west" i am speaking of the developed parts of the world (mostly US, EU, CANADA, AUSTRALIA). The very large majority of the world population lives outside these borders in the developing (mostly third world nations) world. with the majority of the world pop living outside of the "developed world," how can you argue we are the rule?
after reading this ... ( 1 month ago by hooah68)
after reading this again, i dont think we are disagreeing, it seems you misunderstood my use of the phrase "rule rather than exception" (perhaps i used it incorrectly). all i was saying is that most of the world lives under conditions that do not allow for the fast "shifting moral zeitgeist"
I'm agreeing :) ( 1 month ago by DukeAlba)
I'm agreeing :)

yeah, he's a prick, but a very polite prick. He's also very often right, so since I value intelligence over attitude, I still respect him.

what is it that allows a Religio-business to hijack a persons mind and energies, and transform them into nothing more than a transmission agent for a viral mind disease?
It's called free ... ( 2 weeks ago by BeJehovahsFriend)
It's called free will. Adam had the choice and his servants have the choice. Israel stated that much before they were brought into being Jehovah's covenant people:
"All that Jehovah has spoken WE ARE WILLING to do and be obedient" Even Jesus said about delivering up his own life "I HAVE AUTHORITY TO DELIVER IT and I have authority to recieve it again. The commandment on THIS I received from my father".

I don't find Dawkins to be rude. He is blunt but generally only returns bluntness he is given. I have never been offended... but, then, I have no religion to offend. However, I am often offended by theists with their accusations and xenophobic hatred.

Atheists are an inside joke between God and those in Godconsciousness - those who know God, not believe, but know. Every time God "dresses up" as an atheist and expounds on the non-existence of God, and how science is supplanting faith, we roll laughing. D2

That shows very clearly your lack of knowledge on evolution. Evolution isn't a tangible thing or life form. To try and put it simply to a moron it is tiny changes that help an animal to surivive therefore are more likely to be passed on to its decendants. It isn't some guy saying "yeah, i like wings, we'll have a bit of that for those birdy things" Fool.
