Translation:
"The long time of silence has ended for Bill Kaulitz. The singer of Tokio Hotel had his first interview after the surgery on his vocal chords 4 weeks ago."
All the fans can breathe again Bill makes sounds again!
Bill: " I'm doing quite well..."
Four weeks ago Berliner doctors removed a cyst from the vocal chords of the singer. After the operation he had to keep silence.
Bill: "You have to imagine: 10 days- no talking, not even being able to make sounds like "mmh", "ahh" or "mh mh" and "ya" or anything. NO SOUND AT ALL! And I really held out until the end!"
Communication was only possible via writing pad and sign language with his brother Tom. This time and also the time before the surgery was very nerve- racking for him.
Bill: " There is sitting a doctor and tells you that he has to cut on the vocal chords. And you're sitting there as a singer- that's your entire capital- and I don't know- you get totally worried- and I am such a nervous person."
The surgery went well Bill doesn't have to expect any late effects. Maybe that's also because of his "speaking lessons".
Bill: " I felt sooo silly! I was sitting there, starting with: "a, b..." and then we started with: "Monday, Tuesday..." and the first thing we did was rebuilding the speaking voice and not before that we started with singing again."
And to go without that was most difficult for Bill.
Bill: " the first thing I sung again was "In die Nacht" I think- the first lines of it and now we get ready for preparing ourselves again!"
This is because tomorrow Tokio Hotel will be singing at a festival in New York. Then Bill will make himself a talking point again.
