They just keep their head in motion this is so obvious. Their head doesnt go all the way around, it spins left they turn head left, when the back is in view they turn right and move their head left as the thing turns. Easy.

They aren't in the box at all. They pull their heads out and lean backwards. When the back of the box drops back you notice that it doesn't go down flat. That is because they are behind it. The faces up in the top are fake. You can tell that because nothing on them moves. That is why it hitches a little on the last unwind. So they can get back in it and do the reveal.

On his basic family show that he brought to my local theatre (just the basic FAMILY show) he brought a ton of doves, a dog, a duck, and 2 tigers.
Again, that's what he brought ON THE ROAD. imagine what else is in store at the theatre.
