I really don't like players that are just trying to play 7 billion notes per sec like rusty cooley . Becker also played really fast but he made it sound so fuckin cool it is just unbelievable. I don't like to compare guitarists, I'm a big fan of paul gilbert but i think that Jason becker really was godlike. There are a lot of gilbert and yngwie copies but i don't see any jason becker imitators prob because that is just a impossible job :P

yeah he is still alive and composing music with a special program that allows him to compose music by using his mouth to compose everything note for note. he may not be able to play but at least he's still bustin out some great music even in his condition which is truly remarkable.
