The Mission Impossible clips were in there because Trek and MI were both produced by Desilu (in fact one blooper reel has a bit from one of Lucille Ball's TV show). Lucy is the one who bought the idea of Trek from Roddenberry. We wouldn't have it without her.

Sorry dear, it is not David. It's not hard to see this... firstly the guy shoveling coal is not white and DG is. I suspect having a large black 'stevadore looking' guy feeding the engines coal WAS intended as the joke. Secondly, at this point in time (in the mid-sixties) DG was relatively thin and boyish, however the guy in the clip is quite large.
