im sure you ddint try it, but dont take the song title too literally. it wasnt exactly about the American civil war, but all wars and the ones we should be fighting that we're not, that have much greater meaning the ones we are fighting or did fight

For sure there were entire regiments but being the biggest group? I dont think that they were the majority of fighters, you had germans, polish, english, french fighting, so in a way it was a civil war that involved people that made this country.
