Look at the stats!in countrys where there are no HAND guns there are like 10 murders a year.Here there is 10,000.you cannot argue that unless you are irretrievably ignorant!Keep the hunting rifles and shotguns but get rid of the hand guns.That will save lives.

And because of YOUR ignorance you don't realize that of those 10,000 deaths, most of them happen to people in places where the victim is DENIED their right to protect themselves (these wonderful "gun-free zones"), or they happen to people who don't know the first thing about gun safety. Our 2nd amendment rights are so fragmented no wonder it doesn't work as it should. And people are so irresponsible, they don't take time to understand how a gun works or bother to teach their kids about safety.

Criminals don't obey laws, including gun control laws. Therefore only law abiding people obey gun control laws, which means only criminals and cops have guns when guns are banned. If a criminal isn't afraid of the penalty for murder or robbery why would he afraid of a less severe penalty for having an illegal gun? A society where everyone is armed is a polite, law abiding society because everyone with a gun knows that everyone else also has a gun.
