Agreed on the audio capture of the LIVE event, such could not happen if these fine musicians didn't have their skills at the high level they do... damn AWESOME. Great band, great legacy... more STYX!

yeah. i just saw them live like a month ago and they where amazing. Styx was by FAR better than Boston in my opinion even though the smaller set. actually we left early during Boston.
but even though they lacked the several of the original line up they passed it off with flying colors.
they are not playing i am the walrus and i don't remember if they are playing lady.

Yes...I saw STYX and Boston a few weeks ago. I love both the bands...but was actually going for boston. I left w/ STYX being my new favorite. They were incredible, and Tommy Shaw's hair was especially nice:) I've never seen a better performing band. They didn't do Lady or I am the Walrus...but they did do Suite Madame Blue.

All true! I went to the Boston/Styx concert and Styx blew Boston out of the house! Tommy Shaw is still amazing! The new lineup sounds better than they ever have. Boston didn't even do an encore - just stopped playing and left!

really? i saw them in Big Flats NY 3 nights ago and Boston did do an encore. they did Foreplay/Taking My Time i think it was. But ya, STYX did WAYYYY better!

Yes i saw Styx/Boston in Hinkley Minnesota and Styx performance was way better! Boston did do a great encore! they played 2 songs! Smokin' than Party and it was sweet but styx did do much better

Sorry, but from what they both say, that bridge has pretty much been crossed. Dennis does his own shows now and they have different music styles, one of the things that caused conflict in the first place...And you are right, it just isn't STYX without him!

It sure ISN"T the same without dennis. larry gowen is great in his own right, but the songs miss dennis' awesome operatic vocals. he has bells palsy. he got bad headaches from the lights. that was initially the problem. the band knew it had to go on without him. they are as awesome as ever. they now have the bass player from the babys. ROCK ON!
