Dude, small correction. Kala Vachaspati is Jaggayya. It's been awarded to him for his great voice. Vachaspati = Lord of speech. Viswanath is fondly called Kala Tapasvi. By the way, this movie is directed by K.Balachander.

Tell me sigirisetti Chiru sits during lyric writing, compsing or song recording? How great actor he may be, the song is the baby of the music director, lyricist& singers. Actors just give it a graceful meaning on screen. I always find it funny see someone giving the credit to the actors for the melody!

I have watched this movie, though I don't know Telugu. It is a great movie. There is best combination of talents in this movie i.e. K.Balachandar, Ilaiyaraja, S.S.Shastry, SPB and other main actors/actresses with a good story. But SPB is genius, because though he is not a classical singer by training, he sings them well equal or better than any classical singer.Thanks for this video.
