I think of all the women who were left at home in wars at that time, wondering and worrying whether their loved one will come back. Millions didn't.

Nice song.
That is NOT Louise Brooks licking that long string of pearls, it is a look a-like. I doubt Brookie would have posed for that vulgar image.
I have subscribe to your site because you do have a good selection of tunes. Thanks for the effort.

I will add.
At 00:42, look at the neck. It is much too thin and long to belong to Louise.

Hi OlderPete, I dont have such perfect eye to detect the subtle differencies between Louise Brooks and her - possible - alter ego, featured on the photograph. Nor I can estimate and compare the accurate length of the necks of the "both of them". What's important is the beauty and the highest artistical quality of the photo, which I do not consider vulgar at all.
J'attendrai
Le jour et la nuit, j'attendrai toujours
Ton retour
J'attendrai
Car l'oiseau qui s'enfuit vient chercher l'oubli
Dans son nid
Le temps passe et court
En battant tristement
Dans mon c œur si lourd
Et pourtant, j'attendrai
Ton retour

The photography is ...( 4 months ago by Karamzin21)
The photography is taken by Eugene Robert Richee in the year 1928. It's a classic of the glamour photography in the twenties and the girl IS Brooks. You should inform yourself before you send such a mail. (Karamzin21)

I agree that the girl licking the pearls is NOT Brooks. Compare their brows and also the angle between the nose and the forehead. Brooks has a clear angle there, but the girl in the picture has more like a soft bend. I have nothing against the picture but it's not Brooks. The girl in the earlier picture, holding the necklace in her right hand IS Brooks though.

About licking the pearls again - search for "dellfina louise brooks" here on YouTube and you will find the "imposter".
Thanks for the music and the other pictures though! ;-)
