The SAMP/T is a mobile, ground-based, air transportable, medium range air defense system designed to replace the Hawk air defense systems in the Italian and French Armed Forces. It comprises basically a ground control station/target engagement module, a 10 tons class truck-mounted Arabel radar, and up to six launcher vehicles carrying eight Aster 30 missiles each. Each Aster 30 missile is stored in a single sealed canister which eventually becomes its vertical launch ramp.

look, the S400\S300 is an amazing system not just because performance, but because it can deal kinds of threats: jets, cruise missiles, and it has some capability against ballistic missiles. the arrow was developed to protect against ballistic missile (doesnt mean it doesnt have capability against air crafts or something), so it doesnt need that feature.

the green pine radar can detect ANY kind of threat, even if its very very fast, from range of more than 500KM (source say its close to 1000). in fact, the Green Pine is so strong that people in the israeli industry think to use it against threats, and not just detect them.

The Arrow project got underway after the U.S. and Israel agreed to co-fund it on May 6, 1986. So I am 1000%sure that Arrow cant get Stealth jet. Arrow has a speed of more than 3 km/s (S-400 has 4.8km). It cant fly as haigh as S-400s. I read very much about Arrow 2 and I muist say S-400 is without concurrence. And the navigation was based on GLONASS and not on GPS so its the most accurate the world ever made.

Finland migh by this ystem in 2010 when BUK's are scrapped. Then again Partiot is another option too...but it's kinda sure that SAMP-T will the winner.

BTW, ive heard that kind of Arrow 3 is under development.. i dont know that for sure. but its well known that israel keep improve the arrow in order to destroy missile far away from israel (bigger range) and more kinds of ballistic missiles.

BTW, if we want to compare israeli missile with S300\S400, we should wait and compare the new missile that israel develop to india- based on the Barak 8 missile, just with longer range. it will be kind of missile that will be used against air crafts, cruise missiles, UAVs, and maybe will have a small capability against short range baliistic missiles.

S-400 does not have a speed of 4.8km/s. GLONASS is just a cheap GPS knockoff. Your fanboydom is alive and well. Even the 40N6 can't hit 4.8km/sec
