i dont care what your beliefs are, if you believe that everything in the bible TRULY happened you would listen to every page and truly know that jesus WAS born th son of god and he WAS sacrificed, jewish people read the bible, but yet the ignore the simple FACT that christmas isnt honnika or kwanza or whatever, its called christmas with a capital "C". get it now?

Dude you spelled Hannukah wrong but Kwanza right......WTF thats a little wierd. You like busting on other people but TAKE THE BEAM OUT OF YOUR EYE. If you have read the bible you would know what that passage means. What makes you think i beleive everything in the bible happened? And Jewish people do not read the bible. actually, He wasn't born on Christmas, we just chose that date to celebrate His birth because we don't know the actual date.... also, the wise men didn't get to see Him until 2 years after He was born... and there is symbolism to who sees Him (sheperds and 3 kings and the gifts the kings gave Him)
Sheperds: The Lord is the Sheperd and we are His flock
3 Wisemen: He is the King of kings
Gold: represents royalty
Incense and Myr: associated with death (especially of royalty or the wealthy)

The Bible is meant to be taken literally, especially by true Christians. So many people try to explain everything like you are. Explain for us the virgin birth and the resurrection in your words and we will see who speaks the truth.

Woah, I wasn't trying to explain anything. Yes, when Jesus was born 3 sheperds came to visit Him and about 2 years later the 3 wisemen came to visit Him. I was just connecting the people who visited and the things they gave with different things about Jesus. We went over it in a Bible study and so I just felt like sharing.

Virgin Birth: Jesus wan't born of man, but of the Holy Spirit, and it was a virgin (Mary) who gave birth to Him after the Spirit entered her
Ressurection: Jesus fulfills the prophecy of rising from the dead 3 days after his crusifixtion and has successfully conquered death (praise God!) proving that He is God and that He is the Christ (if He didn't rise then that would mean that He was mortal, and therefore not God... BUT HE DID RISE AGAIN!)

The most important man to ever live was born on the 25th of December. Every year we come together to celebrate the birth and life of the most remarkable man to ever lighten up the world. Jesus was not born on December 25. The simple truth is we don't know when Messiah was born. So, why do you celebrate it on a day that is synonymous with the birth of pagan deities which God hates?

to danjoabs---i think my church ( catholic ) embraced 25 december so that the church would have something christian to do while the roman pagans were celebrating the birth of the sun god, which was celebrated on that day. also, the bible speaks metaphorically of god being the "sun of righteousness", and thus it was especially appropriate to celebrate jesus's birth while other people were celebrating the birth of the pagan sun god. ironically, this video looks like it was made by protestants.
