callas is the ultimate perfection singing O mio babbino caro...besides her fake italian accent is really really bad..it's distracting....moreover i hate her facial expressions when she sings...i see her more in Playboy Channel than singing bell canto...sorry mrs netrebko..stick to your repertoire.and i'm not saying she's whore or something...it's just a matter of opinion.

I do like her tone. She does have some pitch issues but she adjusts accordingly. The ending is not strong and does some funky wobbles. As far as the acting goes, she seems like she is enjoying the song more than trying to be in character....which is fine by me. It's better than the expressionless face we get from a lot of other singers because they are trying to remember the words or where they parked their car or something like that. Overall, her performance was very fine.

But that is a problem, singing this she should not be Anna Netrebko, she should be Lauretta... If not, she just happens to sing opera melodies with a pop mentality. As fot the pitch and technique problems, one definitely demands a good technique and sense of pitch from such a famous soprano.
