whats the problem with forced induction? better gas mileage, more tuneability, lighter engine. there are always trade offs, turbo lag, less low end torque and so on. Its not a matter of they HAVE to force induce their engines, its a matter of preference. They could build massive v8s but they choose the turbo route and it seems to produce pretty good results in the end. if they added 4 extra cylinders then it would just be a rip off of american muscle and then yould be complaining about that.

same with the sti, im sure with that money you spend you can juice the STI to be a lot faster too. Not to mention no matter what you put into the engine of the mustang the Sti handles like a pro.

I've seen Mustangs that go from 0-200+ mph in less than 7 seconds. When you see a 4 cyl Subaru do that, you can get back to me. With enough $, I could make a mustang handle better than any Subraru on the planet. I'm just saying that a turbocharger gives a lighter car a big advantage. Take the Forced Induction advantage away, ie: a supercharger or a turbo for the mustang, and it will eat it up all day long. Trust me....

okay you took what i said and reworded it. with a little 4 cyl you're limited on how much horsepower you can get out of the engine. So much more potenential in a v8. I done with this interenet argument. If you live in so cal, I'll eat up any STI you have. My supercharged V8 vs. your turbo 4 cyl. Lets go. All day long....

Any time i wanna lay a patch at my local wal-mart i will get a V8 , other than that i like a drivers car , and modern american "muscle cars" do'nt provide what many are seeking. Listen man i do see the limitations of 4 cylinders , what are you comparing for , typical 4 cylinders are front wheel drive and do'nt even have the "squat" factor to even compete at the strip, just common sense. I love how all the stang heads are getting all butt hurt because the sti won in practically every category. haha It's ok to admit defeat. I love mustangs to death but they both are built for two completely different things and the stang just can't keep up with the sti in most categories.
