well if you have problem with reading small text on firefox mouse try ctrl+mouse scrolling that allows you to change font size in smaller and larger

A 10 font should be standard, and no less that 8. I design sites and have never used a font smaller than 8. Younger people I find often ask me to put smaller font on thier site. I remind them that not everyone has great eyesight or know how to change the font size in the browser or otherwise.

Have a button on my web pages that allows the user to change the font size. It works quite well and shouldn't be difficult to read. I use Arial for the most part and never a font smaller than 11. The space between the lines is 20.

You are 100% correct. DHL (one of the biggest delivery companies in the world, very popular in Europe and Asia) has the most UN-readable website. Hurts my eyes so bad.

In my eye's as a web designer the most important thing about any web site should be it's usability and it's readability. Cos at the end of the day if you don't make it user friendly how can you expect people to use it. I'd also like to see more sites looking into offering there users the chance to see there site in normal or larger size font, As well as been able to view a flash site as a non-flash web site, As I know that some of these bookmarklets tend to only work on text based sites.
