I must say, I am one of those people who dislike modern twists on classical pieces, especially those utilizing such elements such as rock style drums and guitar, (specifically to this piece, drums) but I must say, the skill exhibited here is astounding and there are parts where I liked what is being done better than the classical version. But even still, I retain my belief that almost all classical songs sound best played classical.

I would tend to agree with you most of the time. Its like modern music where the new band makes a version of an older song. Its almost never better. But once in a while you get a version that sounds as good or better. I don't know that this is "better" but its situational. The original is perfect for some things. This is also. Just set and listen to both are masterpieces.

Toccata Et Fuga in D minor. I play organ and this is the last song I played before quitting music school. Remarkable piece, brilliantly performed by Vanessa Mae!
