It depends what you catagorise as a "decent singer". Smiths style, suits this song and the majority of cure songs perfectly well in my opinion. I think its well known that he is not a "technically good singer" as such but then again its his unusual style that has made the cure what they are. And as someone else has said, go and see them live ;). Also don't forget that this song and video is about 28 years old now and Robert Smith still had quite an immature voice compared with recent years.

Well I'll get another huge minus for this, but I'd say Sting is a decent singer, and I'm not a cure fan, I just stumbled across the video. I just pictured it would work better with stronger vocals, that are in tune. If alot of people like the music, they automatically overate the singer, and I don't have this bias for this band.
Having said that, I love the song + been listening to it alot lately.
