The Beatles video for their version of the song Please Mr. Postman.
The Beatles began playing the song in their live shows during 1962. It was recorded in-studio on July 30, 1963. The song was included as the 7th track on the band's second album, With the Beatles, which was released in November of 1963. The song was originally written by The Marvelettes, and bec
ame a #1 single for the group in late 1961. In addition to The Beatles, the song has also been covered by The Carpenters and Lil' Wayne.

exactly...and i hate it when people say they dont like the music because its too "old-school"...what the hell does that have to do with the music?...but when you think about most music (rap, metal, hip-hop, etc.) wouldnt exist without the beatles...which is the only thing i can hate them for..hehe

"Trash metal is far more difficult to play on guitar but doesn't mean the music's better." Well...I don't like heavy metal or thrash metal , but I wouldn't be so arrogant as to call it "trash". Music quality is only in the ear of the listener I'm afraid. Anyway, nobody can know whether or not Queen wouldn't have existed without Elvis or the Beatles. Freddie never stated that he was influenced by the Beatles, he said it was mostly Hendrix and Zeppelin as well as Liza Minnelli.

trash metal is just a term like hard rock or jazz. Its a style. So no arrogance here because I agree with you on the music quality part. And yes, it's impossible to tell weather or not queen would've existed or would've made the same music. But it is a safe bet to say, it would not have been the same. And If Elvis wasn't there to start Rock and Roll in the first place... well, you finish the sentence

Point taken. Do NOT mistake me for a Beatles hater or whatever. I used to listen to JUST the Beatles, but I broadened my horizon and now listen to all types of music. My favorite rock band is Queen, and I honestly believe all the individuals in the group were better at what they did than the individual Beatles were at what they did. Having said that, the Beatles were QUINTESSENTIAL to rock's development and Elvis, in his own way influenced them.

Do not make the mistake of thinking that Elvis started rock n roll. He did not. According to John Lennon, the cornerstone of the Beatles, "if you wanted to give rock n roll another name, you might call it Chuck Berry..." Remember, Elvis didn't even write most of his music, he just covered songs in his own way.

You're one dedicated Queen fan :-). I'm not sure weather the musicians from Queen are better then the Beatles. They're all great without a doubt. But it's hard to tell who's the best musician, cause in the 60's the music was all different. I have no doubt that they were all the best at what they did. Otherwise they wouldn't have been so popular :-). I love all kinds of Rock music from 1950-1995, and sometimes from later :-). CCR is my favorite at the moment; and of course Led Zeppelin :-).

I gotta admit The Beatles were good but they had way to many shorts songs and mostly sang about love BUT ZEPPELIN had great long songs and were louder,heavier,and sexier than the beatles and besides the beatles sold most of their records because america needed a group to make them feel better after kennedy died.....the beatles beat zep to it

On an unrelated note, I think that Queen's lead singer Freddie Mercury is a better vocalist than Robert Plant, and I like Queen's music better, therefore I like Queen better.
