this is one the most emotional and spine tingling performances by Patti. Mamma was feeling the spirit that night at the apollo during the motown returns to the apollo show. the annointing was all over her. Patti literally raised the roof off the apollo that night. The show should have been called, "Patti returns to the Apollo" cause her three performances that night were the highlights of the evening.

OK, that performance was every bit as great as you say it was. But beyond that, the description by the poster (upper right corner) contains one of my all-time pet peeves: "Patti literally raised the roof". I hate it--I mean hate--when people use "literally" when they mean "figuratively." Ruins the whole thing for me.

Let me get this straight: you completely misuse a word and make it mean something it doesn't mean, and when someone calls you on it (without any insults or name-calling) and still expresses gratitude for your posting of the video, you respond by calling that person an asshole, making another very basic grammar error ("your" instead of "you're") in the process, then you cap it off by threatening to block that person? Don't bother, dude. I won't be back.

He wasn't getting onto you for saying "raise the roof." He was saying that that phrase is a figurative phrase, not a literal one. Patti did not literally raise the roof. Also, note that she was singing a Christian song. You posted it, so I assumed you might be a Christian, too. One doesn't typically associate Christians with calling people "asshole" and telling them to kill themselves. Literally or figuratively.

YES...SHE said that they are in the studio working on a new album...that is being produced by LENNY KRAVITZ...then they will go on tour...now do not however hold your breath...LENNY is NOTORIOUS for being REAL SLOW...but i think it will be INCREDIBLE ...ESPECIALLY if NONA writes most of the songs...LABELLE is FOREVER..
