Bin Laden is much closer to people like Hagee and Falwell and Robertson than anyone on the American left. Like them he abhors modernity and uses ancient scripture to promote hatred and intolerance.
I did not say American left progressives hated the military, I said they were deeply suspicious of it [ and the CIA and the expansion of executive privelege and authority].

Mussolini was a fan of the New Deal, & many leading New Deal intellectuals were fans of Mussolini.
Moreover, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the worlds largest body of climate change scientists, have agreed there is a 90 percent chance global warming is in large part attributable to man made sources.
