Someone is right. It's kind of stupid to compare U2 and Coldplay. First of all U2 is much more older than Coldplay, second they like each other and U2 is one of the Biggest influences for Coldplay. And finally, IF they are not fighting between them. Why are we? As fans I think it's stupid. I like both but U2 is a classic. To reach them Any other man would need 30 years in the mainstream to pretend to compare themselves with U2.

No offense, I don't always agree with the cops either, but they're not morons.
And besides, rules are rules. Unlike today where idiots like Paris Hilton can slide away with the law, rules applied to EVERYONE. Even U2.
And other than being idiots at times, cops aren't a menace to society..
And U2 and Coldplay I think cannot be compared, they're way too different in my mind. THey're both amazing in their own way. =]

u2 is so original, which is what counts. And they are so amazingly good that a lot of bands, in one way or another copy their style. Bands like coldplay have their own talent in which they also use influences from bands like u2.
It isn't like it's one or the other, or u2 is better cuz they were first, u2 is good music and so is colplay.
But u2 started the u2 style and the u2 sound ;)
