'Poetry'. You know - I think that's a good description of this film. Yeah this scene is good but take a look at the initial entrance of Van Cleef on horseback. Beautifully filmed. Reminds me a bit of Omar Sharif's entrance in Lawrence of Arabia.

In answer to rKeogan: The Dog was apparently released by Sergio Leone without Tuco knowing to 'reduce the pathos of the scene'. I've always wondered about that until I read it somewhere. Cracking film - wonderful music - So much so (film + music)I have a slab of the central circle in my garage
