This is not a Ramones cover. Don't say it's a ripoff; all punkrock is supposed to sound the same and in the end i think that's the fact that made JaM move away from punk as fast as they did. Moreover I think it's their roots in punk that's the reason who there was raw attitude in all of their later songs, though it was pop with a big p, without trying to be anything else. Fuck Yuki as an individual, alone she has zero talent. With JaM she was a godess.

this is early, before Tack joined on guitar and they made the first J.A.M cd. The arrangement is the same on the album. This was influenced by the Ramones, of course. Onda was a Ramones fan. After this guitar player left, the lineup was in place.

I don't know how you can say "fuck Yuki as an individual" if you liked JAM at all! Anyway, her music IS very different now, but why should she have just kept doing the same thing she had already done for 10 years? I like JAM and her solo stuff pretty equally.

I like this verssion because it shows Yuki's optimal sound and performance (it was dubbed). Maybe she went solo because she wanted to branch out, and/or she was offered more money. After all, she has a child to support.. Hugainaiya is a great song because it pays homage to Judy And Mary (but better).. however, the video is terrible; you don't get to see Yuki until the second half! I think the music company wanted to re-invent her; to dis-associate her from JAM which is impossible.
