u can't compare metallicas and segers version... they took the songs meaning differently they're 2 completely different songs... but also the original of everything is always better because the artist wrote it and knows what he wanted it to sound like

I love this song. I have listened to the Metallica version, and I enjoyed it, but I must agree, they do take on two different meanings. I enjoy the meaning and calmness of Bob Seger, and I also enjoy listening to the awesomeness of Metallica. Either way, great song.

I can't beieve he was treated so badly by people in Omaha or the surrounding communitys. I read somewhere that he decided that night not to come back to our city & I don't think he will. Absolutely loooooooooove Bob Seger!!! He has the most powerful, soulful voice.....truly hypnotic. I have his greatest hits cd in my car...every day when I leave the office I blast it...it's my way of unwinding & relaxing. Takes me to my happy place :)! Thanx for posting one of his best!
